FAQs on Clay Blooms:

What information do you need to provide a quote?
It’s always a good idea if you can tell me the following:

  • Your overall budget
  • Items you wish to order
  • Desired flowers, colors and bouquet sizes
  • Your wedding date
  • Inspiration photos

How long does it take once I place an order?
I often tell my clients to book us like you would a traditional florist. Ideally 6-12 months in advance, but I know that’s not always possible. I work based on your wedding date. I try to work on your order roughly a month prior to your wedding. I let you know when the production of the flowers has started and when the items will be ready to ship. I provide photos of the items before shipping to make sure the client is happy with the final product. If modifications are needed, they can be discussed at that time. Some modifications are at no charge, but if the client requests items that are outside the scope of the contract, appropriate fees will be applied to the existing order.

If you have a last minute order request, which causes me to have to shuffle my existing orders, a rush fee of 20% will be applied to your order and any rush shipping fees will also be applied.

I require a 50% deposit at the time you place the order and the balance plus shipping & handling due just prior to the items shipping. Once the client decides to book, I use a third party contract and invoicing system to make it easy for the client to keep track of their agreement, invoices and payments.

How do you ship the flowers?
I use FedEx Ground and USPS Priority Mail or Express Mail when shipping my products. I use lots of bio-degradable packing peanuts to make sure no damage is caused during shipping. All parcels are insured. DK Designs is not responsible for damages caused by the shipper or if items are broken during Customs inspections for international orders. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the client, so it’s important to discuss what the limits are for product being shipped to your particular part of the world.

FAQs on Paperie:
What information do you need to provide a quote?
It’s always a good idea if you can tell me the following:

  • Number of invitations or wedding day details
  • Items you are interested in ordering
  • Desired theme, colors, etc.
  • Your wedding date

How long does it take once I place an order?
The process starts with custom digital proofs with your wedding content. If you require a hard copy sample, there are fees that do apply, but we can create them. Once the edits are made and the final review and approvals are made of the proofs, a deposit of 50% is required. The balance plus shipping & handling is collected prior to the items shipping. Depending on the current order queue as well as the number of items you order, production lead times run anywhere from 1-4 weeks. It’s a good idea if your wedding is in the months of March-August that you book your orders for wedding day details around the time you place your order for wedding invitations. We use the Envelopments line of products exclusively.

Note: I allow 3-4 rounds of edits, unless errors are not caught by me. I do my best not to charge people for my design time. However, from time to time I get customers who make excessive requests and if it becomes an issue of design hours vs. quoted price of the invitations, I will charge a fee for each modification.
