Several months ago, a friend from my old church got engaged and asked me if I would be willing to create her wedding bouquet. Chris was one of the worship music leaders and she also taught the VBS my son attended. She is such a wonderful person and gives so much in the name of Christ. She knew she wanted ivory gardenias and hydrangeas in deep purple, but also liked some green. She had a limited budget, but I decided to go a little bit above what she could afford to ensure that she had a wonderful bouquet.
I took this opportunity to really push my creativity. My bouquets tend to be very round, but I decided to make it a little more organic, if you will. Varying heights, textures and colors. I really enjoyed stretching my creativity and thinking outside of my typical wedding bouquet box. I included sweet peas, lily of the valley, viburnum, vines, and leaves in addition to the hydrangeas and gardenias.
Chris also asked me if I could make some boutonnieres and corsages for her family. She just wanted simple gardenias with leaves and purple ribbon.
Best wishes and many blessings to you, Chris and your fiance on your wedding day.
