My client, Heather, asked me to make 2 home decor pieces for her new home in preparation for an upcoming house warming party. It took a while to get both pieces done, but thankfully she gave me a timeline. I had finished the first piece a couple months ago, but I just now finished her 2nd piece. She wanted a tall vase arrangement and she had purchased a beautiful gold metal urn vase. She shared with me a still art painting of red pomegranates which was framed in gold. She wanted reds, blush, peach and white/ivory tones.
She had requested peonies, roses, citrus blossoms, gardenias, and kind of left the rest up to me. I added some fillers that would tie in the red color from the roses and add lots of movement and texture. I also found stock flowers at the local market so I decided to try my hand at making them out of clay and I think they lend themselves really well to this arrangement. I can’t wait to see when she receives them this weekend and how they look in the actual vase.
