A bride contacted me and asked if I could do a pomander bouquet for her destination wedding in Alaska. She had given me her inspiration photos, but her colors were corals, peaches, teals and muted sage green. She wanted the succulents to be in teal because the water was that color. She asked for succulent flowers as well. That was the first time for me to try and make them which was a fun challenge. Her flowers were dahlias, roses, hipericum berries, peony buds, succulents and succulent bell flowers. I also added in some greenery and berries to accent the color palette. I don’t often make pomanders for bridal bouquets so it has been a while, but it was nice to do something different. The bride wanted something where she wouldn’t have to hand off the bouquet to her maid of honor and could hold it while saying her vows. She also requested a matching boutonniere for her groom which I think came out pretty well. Her request was to have all those flowers in there. It was quite a full boutonniere.
