About the designer
Artisan Diane Phillips of DK Designs has specialized in creating custom, handmade, clay floral designs and stationery for local, national and international brides since 2002. Her creations are perfect for brides who want everlasting bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, flowers that are out of season and flawless petals that will withstand direct sunlight and heat on the hottest of summer days.
Because they are incredibly realistic and light weight, her clay flowers are perfect for bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, hair flowers, cake flowers, centerpieces, favors, and so much more. The clay can be customized into almost any flower and color imaginable.
You may recognize Diane from her guest appearance on the Martha Stewart Show, where she taught Martha how to make clay hydrangeas! You can view the video here. Experience
Diane is a DECO Clay Craft Academy instructor of over 15 years. She was fortunate to learn the art of DECO Clay Craft Academy from master instructors Kazuko and Yukiko Miyai. She is very appreciative of the techniques taught, which has allowed her to be very creative and strive to always create beautiful, lifelike blooms. After taking a break for a few years to concentrate on other priorities, she has recently returned to teaching for the DECO Clay Craft Academy and looks forward to once again sharing this beautiful art form to other clay enthusiasts. For the past 15 years, she been designing beautiful one-of-a-kind clay flowers and stationery for weddings and events for clients around the world.
